Tips for Making Your Holiday Spread Look Amazing

I’ve always loved the holidays. There’s something about the decorations, the food, the family and friends that makes me feel warm inside. Although this year may look a little different, you can still enjoy the magic of the season.  Here are a few of my tips for making your holiday spread look amazing,  Use Fresh Ingredients Fresh ingredients are the key to delicious food, it’s something that I learned from my mom and Nonna growing up and have taken with me into my own recipes. Try visiting some local markets this season for fresh ingredients, not only will you notice the difference in your food but you’ll also be supporting local businesses, it’s a win/win. Make a Signature Cocktail Every holiday spread needs a signature cocktail. Whether it’s boozy eggnog with a stick of cinnamon and sprinkle of nutmeg or a vodka, cranberry with fresh cranberries and some green garnish, choosing a drink to go with your spread is sure to be a hit.  Update Old Recipes  Coming from a large Italian family means I know a thing or two about family recipes passed down from generation to generation. I like to take an old recipe and add a contemporary spin to it – I did it with the chocolate chip cookie and I do it with plenty of other recipes. Don’t be afraid to try something new, you might just discover your new favorite dish.  Top it Off With Dessert A holiday spread isn’t complete without dessert. Try something different this year and swap out the traditional holiday dainties for some gourmet, stuffed cookies. Cookie Craving Co. cookies will add that extra pizazz to any spread.  Have a safe and happy holiday!   Sabrina
